Does God Really Know ALL About Me?

Does God really know all things? How come He asked Adam the question, “Where are you?” in Genesis 3:9. If all they say of Him were true, ought He not to know it? Does He really know me? Is He not busy running the universe to have the time for an ordinary person like me? Am I not smaller than the tiniest dot on His great canvas?

Hannah said this of God in 1 Samuel 2:3, “Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighted.” The writer of the Bible book called Hebrews said, “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account,” (Hebrews 4:13). God is the person being referred to here. David said of Him,

Psalm 139:2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

Psalm 139:3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

Psalm 139:4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

Friend, God knows all things. That is what is meant when He is described as being omniscient. He saw Adam all the time and knew how and where he stood. God asked Adam the question in order to awaken him from the stupor of sin and make him realize how he has fallen, and his need for restoration to fellowship, and favor with God. You see, sin causes mental dullness.

Never forget that God made you, therefore He knows you more than you or anyone else. He cares so much about you. He cared enough to give up His son to suffer and die on the cross for you. No matter how great or many your sins are, He offers you pardon, if you will choose to turn from them to Him.

No matter how many places you have been broken, He offers to mend you up, heal you, and make you whole again, if you will invite Him into your life.

God loves you.

Friend, God is extending His arm of love and friendship to you again today. Now is the best time to ask Jesus into your heart. If you are ready for Him, pray this simple prayer:

Dear God, I agree I’ve sinned and come short of your glory. I’m truly sorry. Jesus, I ask you into my heart today. Please come in and be my Savior and Lord. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
